The Big Brothers Big Sisters "ATA" (Aglialoro Tutorial Academy) was successful once again in aiding the academic progress of our mentees! An outstanding thank you is extended to all those wonderful tutors who are taking their time to help our mentees (students) achieve their intellectual potential! Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rockland should like extend a huge thank you to AB LaRoche, Life Skills Coach, for speaking at the Juvenile Mentoring Program held at the Haverstraw Center. The kids were so intrigued to hear about AB's life story and how successful she became after overcoming many personal challenges. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rockland should like to thank two Girl Scout, Heart of the Hudson, troops for adopting two families from our 1-to-1 community program by providing much needed holiday gifts and a delicious holiday dinner. We love seeing youth in our community understand the need to give  to people suffering hardship -  especially during the holiday season! Thank you from the BBBS family and those families you so kindly helped!!

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rockland County held its Annual Holiday Party in December and it was a blast. We had a full house and all of the participants had such a great time! Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rockland sends another huge “Thank You” to Kevin Hogan from Seats of Dreams, for once again providing an experience one more of our lucky families will never forget! This time, Seats of Dreams provided a family in our 1-to-1 community mentoring program, with tickets to watch the New Jersey Devils play on November 11th at the Prudential Center.
