🌿🐾 On June 10th, our agency was thrilled to celebrate one of our Little Sisters, who was selected as one of only five youth in Rockland County to receive the Eleanor Burlingham Earth Day Creative Arts Contest Award!
This year’s theme encouraged participants to observe local nature and creatively express what it might be like to be an animal or tree in the county. Our Little Sister explored the contest alongside her Big Sister, who encouraged her creativity and self-expression through a story about a groundhog named Otter. 🦫💚
We are so proud of her accomplishment and grateful to the Rockland County Environmental Management Council and Ed Day for recognizing the importance of helping young people connect with and appreciate the natural world around them.
